​Liturgical paintings refer to those used in public worship, or liturgy.   Two main seasons of religious ritual and significance in my prior community worship include Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ, and Easter, celebrating the death and the resurrection of Christ.  By displaying banners during these seasons, the congregation has a visual focal point during worship to ponder the season and all that it implies.  I also painted a Lent series that facilitated personal worship reflection and gathered worship focal points.
