Rachel Marie Campbell - Artist & Art Facilitator
Hello! My name is Rachel. I love making art and especially being a part of community art endeavors. I graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's of Science in Art Education May of 2008, and then completed my Masters of Art Education in December of 2009. I have facilitated creative activities in schools, camps, and most recently in a senior living community--leading residents with Alzheimer's/Dementia in a variety of therapeutic activities.
I now reside in Northern California and work as a Professional Services Specialist at Vendini, Inc. A newer design challenge I have added to my belt is creating virtual venues for online ticket sales. In my spare time, I like to explore and enjoy the scenery of beautiful Northern California!
My personal artwork featured on this site display my love for abstract painting with oil and mixed media. Seasonal artworks use natural and man made elements to communicate a sense of season. The Architectural series focused on renewing architectural salvage with oil and mixed media. Anatomical paintings are inspired by my yoga practice and the mind/body/spirit connection.
Some commissions I've made include architectural salvage, liturgical banners, and murals -- both indoor and outdoor, ranging from an underwater adventure land for a 7 year old boy's bedroom to a wall of vines full of fresh produce on the side of a grocery store!
I believe that everyone is an artist, and that art can be such a profound vehicle for therapeutic processing, imagining, and purposeful expression.
